Custom Staffing has partnered with a local Manufacturing Company to add a Metal Prep Solvent Route Associate to their team in Bluffton, OH. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity. 

Custom Staffing Benefits: Weekly pay and medical insurance.

Position: Metal Prep Solvent Route Associate
Hours: 2:50pm - 11:10pm
Pay Rate: $18.00 +$1 shift diff

Key Responsibilities
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Read and understand SOPs
  • Production Processes: Safe handling, transport, mixing and delivery of chemicals, adhesives, and cleaning solvents used to prepare rubber and metal components.
  • Mixing & Application Support: Work directly with raw industrial adhesives and chemical solvents. This involves measuring, pouring, and feeding the correct mixtures into automated paint or cleaning lines.
  • Safety & PPE Compliance: Given the heavy use of solvents, employees must adhere to strict environmental and health regulations. This includes wearing required PPE such as respirators, chemical-resistant gloves, and safety glasses.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Track the usage of chemical materials along the route and report low inventory to the mixing or plant management team. 
Working Conditions
  • Work in a moderately noisy environment with heat, paint fumes, chemical cleaning agents and fumes

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Safety Mindset: High attention to detail regarding hazardous materials and chemical safety management.
  • Experience: One or more years of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Team Environment: demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Communication: Good written and verbal skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Safety First: A strong personal commitment to industrial safety standards and protocols.
  • Documentation: Capable of reading, understanding, and properly completing required plant paperwork.
