Custom Staffing has partnered with a local Manufacturing Company to add Metal Prep Associate to their team in Bluffton, OH. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity. 

Custom Staffing Benefits: Weekly pay and medical insurance.

Position: Metal Prep Associate
Hours: 6:50am - 3:10pm
Pay Rate: $18.00 

Key Responsibilities
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Read and understand SOPs
  • Production Processes
    • Wash, degrease, and treat raw metal parts to remove industrial oils, rust and scale
    • Operate machinery to manually grind, sandblast or other necessary operations to prepare the metal
    • Apply chemical primers or bonding agents to prepared metal parts
    • Load and unload metal-treatment lines, conveyors or industrial ovens
    • Frequently lift and move components weighing anywhere from 40-70lbs
  • Equipment Support: Provide hands-on maintenance support for all production equipment to minimize operational downtime.
  • Quality & Safety Checks: Perform quality checks on products being manufactured. 
  • Plant Support: Execute other related production duties and tasks as directly assigned by Plant Supervision. 
Working Conditions
  • Work in a moderately noisy environment with heat, paint fumes, chemical cleaning agents and fumes

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One or more years of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Team Environment: demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Communication: Good written and verbal skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Safety First: A strong personal commitment to industrial safety standards and protocols.
  • Documentation: Capable of reading, understanding, and properly completing required plant paperwork.
