2nd Shift Bumperline Press Operator

Location: Sidney, Ohio
Pay: $22.05 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:55 PM–10:00 PM
Overtime: Saturday and Sunday; 6–7 day workweeks may be required

Custom Staffing is seeking experienced and mechanically skilled individuals for a 2nd Shift Bumperline Press Operator position. This role operates the large presses located in the back of the plant and requires candidates who understand mechanical equipment and can work safely in a demanding production environment.

Required Qualifications

• Previous metal stamping press operation experience is strongly preferred.
• Candidates without press experience must have significant mechanical experience, such as:
  • Professional experience working on vehicles.
  • Mechanical work performed for an employer.
  • Other relevant industrial or mechanical experience gained through employment.
• Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable working around large industrial presses.
• Must be dependable and willing to work overtime.
• Willingness to work overtime is non-negotiable.
• Must be able to work extended schedules, including frequent 6–7 day workweeks when required.
• Must be committed to learning a specialized production area.

First-Day Training

On the first day, employees will work a special 10:00 AM–2:00 PM training schedule for additional safety and Lockout/Tagout training.

The Bumperline presses have multiple guards, gates, and locks. Because of the equipment and safety requirements in this area, additional training and precautions are required before employees begin their regular shift..

Additional Information

This is not a position for just any applicant. The Bumperline area requires mechanically experienced employees who can learn and safely operate complex equipment. Training in this area can take 6+ months, so candidates must demonstrate the experience, dependability, and willingness to commit to the position.
