Electrical & Mechanical Assembler
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to join our team in Urbana, Ohio. In this role, you will perform precise wiring and assembly operations on a variety of standard electrical, electronic, and mechanical subassemblies. This position includes comprehensive on-the-job training for specialized technical skills, making it an excellent opportunity to grow your manufacturing career.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $15.00 hourly.
- Work Location: Urbana, Ohio.
- Work Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
- Training Provided: Candidates will undergo paid training for soldering, crimping, and tinning.
Key Responsibilities
- Component Assembly: Build and configure standard and precise electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and subassemblies.
- Wiring Operations: Perform accurate wiring procedures across various product lines according to specific project requirements.
- Apparatus Installation: Securely install electrical and mechanical apparatus onto housings or support plates.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical blueprints, product specifications, and daily work tickets to ensure exact assembly standards.
- Quality Math Calculations: Apply basic mathematical calculations to verify dimensions, counts, and measurements during production.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Technical Reading: Proven ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing work tickets.
- Basic Math: Solid understanding of basic mathematical calculations for production tracking and sizing.
- Dexterity & Precision: Good hand-eye coordination to handle intricate electrical components and mechanical parts.
- Trainability: Willingness and aptitude to successfully complete training for soldering, crimping, and tinning.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance habits to align with the 1st shift production schedule
