Location: Findlay, OH
Pay: $16.75/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Additional Hours: Opportunities for weekend work as needed
Position Type: Temporary Assignment with Potential for Contract-to-Hire

A local church is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, members, and visitors. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and understands the importance of creating a well-maintained facility.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize offices, classrooms, restrooms, kitchens, fellowship areas, and other common spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces throughout the facility
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and equipment for worship services, meetings, and special events
• Restock restroom and janitorial supplies as needed
• Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance or safety concerns
• Assist with light exterior upkeep, including entrances, sidewalks, and walkways
• Perform high dusting, light fixture cleaning, and other custodial tasks requiring ladder use
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
• Complete additional custodial duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized environment
• Dependable attendance and a positive work ethic
• Comfortable working from ladders at heights of 30-40 feet
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, climbing, and other physical tasks throughout the workday
