Custom Staffing is partnering with a local Manufacturing Company to add a Trailer Mechanic to their team in Marion, OH. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with a company that offers compensation and benefit programs that are among the industry’s best.

Position: Trailer Mechanic
Shift: 1st
Hours: Monday - Friday, 6am-2:30pm (Overtime and weekends as needed)
Rate of Pay: $22+/hr.
**Must be able to work a flexible schedule within hours of operation. Overtime and / or weekend work when required.

Job Responsibilities:
- Keeps all documentation updated for all DOT compliance.
- Assures the integrity of the PM program is followed and executed.
- Performs work specified on maintenance and repair orders for all makes of trailers
- Diagnoses and repairs trailer systems including suspension, braking, lighting, etc. to specification.
- Provide labor and time estimates for required repairs.
- Inspect, test and diagnose equipment and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
- Willing to participate in a safe and productive work environment with positive attitude.
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE:
- ASE certifications in related fields highly preferred
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Experience in working in a team environment
- Strong planning / organization & time management skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, etc.
PREFERRED:
- Relevant: 3 years (Preferred)
- Trailer Mechanic: 3 years (Preferred)
- Valid CDL and DOT physical card highly preferred.
