1st Shift General Laborer

Custom Staffing is partnering with a local Manufacturing Company to add associates to their team in Marion, OH. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with a company that offers compensation and benefit programs that are among the industry’s best. They operate on eight (8) hour shifts with a five (5) day work week.  Weekends and overtime as needed.

Position: General Laborer
Shift: 1st 
Hours: Monday - Friday,  7:00am - 3:30pm 
Rate of Pay: $16.00/hr. 
 

Job Responsibilities:

Rack Up:

• Load racks - Take posts from stacked bundles and/or various shaped items randomly oriented in tubs and hang on overhead hook. Add a second wire through each row of post or product to maintain control of posts on racks
• Bow up material - Hand stack material and orient material so it can wire tied or attached to fixtures (known as bows) so it can be carried for dip process
• Load Baskets - responsible to verify they are correct and in good condition and are wired properly, then separate the posts in the bundles and load product into slotted screens in backet
• Keep area clean of excessive wire and wood pieces used for staging product
• Perform other duties as requested

Rack Down:

• Un-load racks & fixtures - remove wire and take posts from racks or fixtures, inspect for bare spots and quality concerns and then stack in bundles
• Bow up material - use bolt cutters to cut tie wires and remove product from bow fixtures. Stack like material into bundles.
• Un-load baskets - inspect the finished posts in baskets for bare spots or quality concerns, then remove each post from basket and stack into bundles per required pattern and qty. Add any labels as required. 
• Keep area clean of removed wire.
• Perform other duties as requested

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
• Must be able to lift, turn, twist, bend and stand.
• Team oriented.
