This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with a company that offers compensation and benefits programs that are among the industry’s best. They operate on 8 hour shifts. 5 day work week. Work weekends as needed for over-time.

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Industrial Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a variety of mechanical, electrical, and welding skills to maintain and repair heavy equipment in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key responsibilities and qualifications include:
Responsibilities:
Self-Starter: Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift over 50lbs and work in various field conditions, including all weather scenarios.
Mechanical Skills: Possess a broad range of mechanical skills and the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Electrical Knowledge: Capable of wiring motors, pumps, contacts, switches, relays, fuses, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
Hydraulic Systems: Ability to repair and maintain hydraulic systems, including changing pumps, cartridges, pilot valves, hoses, and cylinders. Capable of identifying issues and leaks.
Welding & Fabricating: Proficient in stick and MIG welding, with experience in heavy structural work, plate welding, build-up, hard facing, and fabrication. Comfortable working in the field and handling tasks like grinding, drilling, shearing, and basic print reading.
Computer Skills: Familiar with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and repairs. Basic computer skills are required.
Part Identification & Procurement: Ability to identify worn or damaged parts, report issues, and locate replacement parts as needed.
Availability: Must be willing to work overtime, on-call, and handle emergency repairs as needed.
Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required to drive to job sites.
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and welding skills
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and in the field
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
Experience using CMMS software to track maintenance activities
Must be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment components and working in demanding environments
