Burn Operator
To operate the CNC burn machine and produce quality parts in a productive and safe manner as efficiently as possible.
Responsibilities:
*Show up for work daily
*Produce quality parts productively
*Fill out paperwork properly
*Use calipers, levels and squares
*Use computer for Work Order Scan, print database and material certs.
*New part approval before producing entire order
*Read a tape and blue prints
*Full material handling capabilities.
*Keep machine and torches clean at all times.
*Can clean/repair tips and consumables.
*Adjust parameters and settings to maximize quality and production on a per order basis.
*Effectively nest parts without the use of Columbus nest’s to maximize material usage and burn time
*Ability to determine if part is to print, out of square or needs recut.
*Ability to determine that the machine and all torches are cleaned, leveled and in working order.
*Ability to determine if plate is of right thickness or grade and if Heat Number matches stencil to sticker.
