Job Ticket Review: Operators review the job ticket and case packing specs for necessary details (order number, customer/item description, packing instructions) and keep them accessible during the job.
Pre-Make Ready: Before finishing the current order, operators review the next job’s ticket and prepare materials for an efficient setup. Cartons for the next job are only brought after the current job is complete.
Make Ready: Operators set up the gluer and Ja-pack (if applicable) according to customer specs and ensure the Leary system is properly configured.
Run: Operators run the machine at or above target speed, minimizing waste. Line clearance procedures must be followed, and the Leary system should remain on unless approved by management.
Leary Verification: The Leary system is audited at the start of each shift and order. Audits are logged in Quantum and verified by the finishing lead.
In-Process Inspection/Testing: Operators inspect the product through the machine for quality, checking cartons randomly and logging results in Quantum.
Identifying Defects: Operators stop the machine and correct defects, instructing packers to set aside defective cartons for inspection.
Non-Conforming Materials: Operators and leads determine if non-conforming materials should be scrapped or sorted, completing necessary paperwork.
Equipment Reliability: Operators maintain housekeeping around their machines.

Responsibilities: Operators manage machine operations, ensuring quality and efficiency. They lead the crew, review job specs, and maintain the Leary system. Operators are also responsible for machine shutdowns when unattended.
Requirements:
Must have 6 months to 1 year of experience.
