Custom Staffing is partnering with a local Recycling Company to add Maintenance Technician Mechanic/ Welder to their team in Marion, OH. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with a company that offers compensation and benefits programs that are among the industry’s best. They operate on 8 hour shifts. 5 day work week. Work weekends as needed for over-time.

Pay is dependent on experience up to $25 per hour.

Requirement: minimum of 1 year to 3 years experience
Summary: Perform routine mechanical duties, including lubricating machinery, changing parts, and preventive maintenance. Conduct welding and fabrication for equipment repairs. Perform lockout/tagout procedures and troubleshoot electrical issues. Coordinate with managers, enter work orders, and collaborate with contractors to complete projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform maintenance tasks safely and efficiently, coordinating with managers on parts, timeframes, and equipment failures.
- Repair hydraulics, troubleshoot electrical systems, and change parts like motors, bearings, belts, and conveyor components.
- Weld and fabricate parts, including handrails, piping, and heavy lifting attachments.
- Operate welding and other machinery (e.g., cranes, forklifts, plasma cutters).
- Maintain and clean equipment, ensuring efficient operation.
- Coordinate projects and work orders with other staff.
- Procure equipment and supplies for maintenance needs.
- Respond to emergency facility issues and assist with general maintenance, including electrical, lighting, and roof repairs.
- Record work completed and recommend improvements to prevent malfunctions.
Competencies:

- Reading comprehension and ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Critical thinking and mathematical problem-solving.
Experience & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1-3 years of welding, electrical, millwright, or hydraulic tech experience.
- Certification in welding or mechanical fields preferred.
Physical Demands: Regular standing, bending, and lifting.
