Custom Staffing is looking to add a 1st shift Press Operator for a client in Lima, OH.
5:00am - 3:30pm
Starting pay is $16.00/hour


The Production Associate in the Assembly Operations area is responsible for running parts produced by die tooling in in a secondary press, resistance welding operations, mig-welding operations, and any other assembly method operations utilized throughout the plant while verifying the quality of the parts being produced.  This position is also responsible for the operational aspects that correlate to the equipment used in the process as training for each activity is verified.  The position requires a teamwork mindset and the ability to be flexible to tasks as assigned and produce quality product efficiently.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:
  • Execution and follow through of all production related activities in the Assembly Operations area as assigned.
  • Cleanliness and organization of work-center.
  • Execute goals set forth by Team Leads and Production Management.
  • Work safely and efficiently.
  • Responsible for the functioning portion of the process as it pertains to raw material, components, scrap, and parts produced.
  • Completion of necessary labor documentation and non-conformance informational requirements.
  • Manufacturing process inspection documentation.
  • Communicates issues in compliance with the Fast Action Response process.
  • Identifies and communicates ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Reading, understanding, and conformance to process documentation and instructions while maintaining operational and process related responsibilities.
  • Asist in Process Reviews activities.
  • Ability to be flexible as cross training of other operations throughout the plant including the Blanking area may be required.
  • Validation/sorting activities when necessary.
Preferred Skills and Education:
  • High School Diploma and equivalent field experience required.
  • 1-3 years of production related work experience in a manufacturing environment preferably with stamping presses, welding equipment, and assembly equipment.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of cross-functional team.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay attention to details and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think logically under pressure.
  • Experience with progressive and transfer tooling and fingers bars.
  • Experience loading and threading coils.
  • Work experience with blanking presses, press controls, and feeding equipment.
  • Understanding for quality requirements of products produced.
