Position: QC Inspector – FRP (Fiberglass-reinforced Plastic)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7am-3:30pm (Hours are subject to change. Weekends and OT as needed)
Pay: $28/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a hands?on QC Inspector to support the manufacturing of fiberglass?reinforced plastic (FRP) pipe and composite components. This role ensures that resin systems, reinforcements, layup sequences, cure cycles, dimensional tolerances, and chemical?handling practices meet the Client’s quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The QC Inspector verifies that each part conforms to drawings, resin mix sheets, cure logs, work instructions, and project quality requirements before release. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working around chemical processes, and the confidence to stop work when resin ratios, catalyst levels, cure conditions, or workmanship do not meet requirements.

Ideal Candidate Snapshot:

A strong candidate understands composite manufacturing, resin chemistry, and the importance of precise ratios, environmental controls, and cure verification. They can read drawings, inspect composite layups, verify resin batches, and document issues clearly. This is not a cosmetic inspection role — it requires technical understanding of FRP manufacturing and chemical safety.

Required Qualifications:

• Ideally 1-3+ years of quality inspection experience in FRP, composites, resin?based manufacturing, piping systems, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, laminate schedules, resin mix sheets, and cure specifications.
• Hands?on experience inspecting composite layups, resin batches, dimensional tolerances, and workmanship.
• Familiarity with resin systems (polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy), catalysts (MEKP), fillers, and additives.
• Experience documenting NCRs, corrective actions, inspection reports, and photo records.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence to stop work when resin ratios, cure conditions, or workmanship deviate from requirements.
• Ability to work safely around chemicals, solvents, catalysts, and composite manufacturing processes.
