Custom Staffing is partnering with a local Recycling Company to add a Diesel Mechanic to their team in Marion, OH. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with a company that offers compensation and benefits programs that are among the industry’s best.

Position: Diesel Mechanic
Pay: $25-$35/hr depending on experience
Hours: 7:30am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday (Weekends and overtime as needed)
Requirement: Minimum of 2 years’ experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs regular routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, adjusting brakes, changing tires and lubricating equipment.
- Removes and replaces components such as brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, drive train components, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, hydraulics and other important parts to ensure that vehicles are in proper operating condition.
- Maintains documentation of service and repair to all vehicles.
- Complies with federal and state requirements by completing DOT inspections of vehicle.
- Willingness to participate in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
