Position Title: Production Worker – AVO (Added Value Operations)
Location: Bellefontaine, OH
Shift: 3rd Shift, Sunday Night–Thursday Night, 11:00pm–7:00am

Summary

The Production Worker in the Added Value Operations (AVO) department is responsible for performing value-added finishing processes on glass products, ensuring they meet customer specifications for quality, safety, and delivery. This role involves operating machinery, handling glass, and supporting continuous improvement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor AVO equipment such as grinders, washers, laminators, cutters, and inspection stations.

  • Perform precision finishing tasks (e.g., edging, drilling, or coating) to meet customer requirements.

  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to identify defects and verify conformance to standards.

  • Safely handle large sheets of glass using hoists, suction tools, and other handling equipment.

  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

  • Support housekeeping, organization (5S), and preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Communicate production or quality issues to supervisors promptly.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Previous manufacturing or glass-handling experience preferred but not required (training provided).

  • Ability to read job instructions, production schedules, and measurement tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot or noisy environments.

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
