Position Title: Production Worker – AVO (Added Value Operations)
Location: Bellefontaine, OH
Shift: 3rd Shift, Sunday Night–Thursday Night, 11:00pm–7:00am
The Production Worker in the Added Value Operations (AVO) department is responsible for performing value-added finishing processes on glass products, ensuring they meet customer specifications for quality, safety, and delivery. This role involves operating machinery, handling glass, and supporting continuous improvement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Operate and monitor AVO equipment such as grinders, washers, laminators, cutters, and inspection stations.
Perform precision finishing tasks (e.g., edging, drilling, or coating) to meet customer requirements.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to identify defects and verify conformance to standards.
Safely handle large sheets of glass using hoists, suction tools, and other handling equipment.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Support housekeeping, organization (5S), and preventative maintenance tasks.
Communicate production or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous manufacturing or glass-handling experience preferred but not required (training provided).
Ability to read job instructions, production schedules, and measurement tools.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot or noisy environments.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
Teamwork and communication.
Mechanical aptitude for operating production machinery.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Manufacturing facility with exposure to heat, noise, and glass dust.
Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and handling of large glass sheets.
