A shift Catcher

Custom Staffing is partnering with a local Paper Products Manufacturer to add associates to their team in Marion, OH. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with a company that offers compensation and benefits programs that are among the industry’s best. They operate on 12 hour shifts with paid breaks every 2 hours and a paid lunch. 

Catchers: A shift

• Starting Wages Begin At $17/Hour With Regular Wage Progressions Every 6 Months Up To $21.00/hr
•  Shift Differential for Night Shift
• Benefits Start on the 1st of The Month Following Your Hire in date
• 7am - 7pm shift

General Inspector-Packer Responsibilities: 

• Removes Finished Flat cartons from delivery of press and stacks them onto empty pallet. With exception of break and press make ready-, this activity is performed throughout working shift.
• Catcher monitors for defective cartons (bad color, missing print, poor register, etc.) and isolates them from saleable cartons.
• Responsible for assisting operator and assistant operator with preparing press for new printing job.
• If new printing Job requires changing colors, catcher is responsible for cleaning unit (ink pans, dr. blade chambers, rollers, etc.)
• Responsible for certain make-ready duties such as setting dr. blade chambers, changing cylinders etc.
• Responsible for line clearance: Removing all materials and waste from previous job.
• Catcher is to assist with washing of plates and rollers 
• Housekeeping
• Responsible to perform additional duties assigned while press is down for preventive maintenance or other extended periods of downtime
• Responsible for preventing of defect to the customer
• Must have aptitude and willingness to move into assistant operator and operator roles.
